The Norman E. Borlaug Leadership Enhancement in Agriculture Program (Borlaug LEAP) awards fellowships to outstanding graduate students from developing countries who show strong promise as leaders in the field of agriculture and related disciplines, for agricultural research at universities in the USA. The program currently invites applications from citizens of USAID-assisted countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Applicants should be enrolled as an MS or PhD student at a US- or Sub-Saharan Africa university. Each research project is coordinated by a university in the USA, and a mentor in a CGIAR center.
The fellowship is US$20,000 for a maximum of one year. Fall 2016 application deadline is 6 April.
