Introduction

As natural resources managers and planners, we are increasingly confronted with large scale developments like globalisation, changing markets, increased resource exploitation and climate change. The landscape approach seeks to link site-level actions to these broader perspectives. This requires new insights in landscape dynamics – and new practical planning tools that differ significantly from conventional practice. Read more
