Farmers promoted Musa genetic diversity fair
An article from Ecuadorian newspaper “La Gaceta” on a Musa genetic diversity fair in La Maná, in Ecuador, organized by groups of farmers and college students, who joined together as part as a Bioversity International project. The project was supported by Iniap, the Agricultural Engeneer National Institute for Agricultural Research, which also provided a three-year training for farmers on knowledge of biodiversity of crops and on how to control pests and diseases.
