Compilation of Rice Germplasm Resources from Xiding Township in Yunnan

Xiding township is located in Menghai county of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. The annual average temperature is 18.5, and annual precipitation is 1341.3mm, Due to specific ecological and geological environment, Xiding is rich in plant germplasm resources. The partner from Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences developed the booklet titled rice germplasm resources in Xiding county. The information of 21 rice accessions was compiled in this booklet, including 9 upland rice accessions. The characteristics of 21 rice varieties described in this booklet included the color of seed husk, rice glume, glume tip, the shape of seed, resistance to pests and diseases, productivity, adaptability, quality and special uses. And two pictures on seed and heading stage were exhibited for each variety. This booklet  will be distributed to local farmers, researchers, technicians to increase their understanding of rice germplasm resources in Xiding county.
