On the 31st of August a policy meeting took place in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province in China. The workshop aimed at illustrate the results of a policy survey that took place in June 2010. The survey aimed at identify ways to better protect landraces and traditional varieties using policy tools. Different stakeholders, including gene bank managers, farmers’ organizations, poolicy makers from department of agriculture, breeders, were asked their view about incentives and disincentives to the conservation of agricultural biodiversity.
