An article by Blessing Chinsinga posted on Science and Development Network website on how climate change is damaging maize crops in Malawi and on the crucial role of politics in the process of adapting to climate change. Maize is the first source of food in Malawi and biggest part of the GDP, but in order to adapt to climate change and other challenges, Malawi must diversify away from maize and resort to the key strategy of crop diversification.
