Opening Ceremony of the International Year of Biodiversity

The United Nations has designated 2010 as the International Year of Biodiversity. The goal is to increase public awareness of the topic of biodiversity with its many facets.
On Monday, 11 January 2010 (at 11 am), the Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, Federal Environment Minister Norbert Röttgen and further high-ranking guests will launch the International Year of Biodiversity at an opening ceremony at the Museum für Naturkunde, Invalidenstraße 43 in Berlin, Germany.
