New report on climate change projects 25 million more malnourished children in 2050

October 9th, 2009

Climate change could leave an extra 25 million children malnourished by 2050 unless heavy investments in adaptive measures are made, claims a major new International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) report titled “Climate Change Impact on Agriculture and Costs of Adaptation“.

The study, Climate Change: Impact on Agriculture and Costs of Adaptation was prepared by IFPRI for inclusion in two separate reports from the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, both released 29 September 2009 in conjunction with international climate change meetings in Bangkok.
